II Peter 3:10-13 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
A gentleman by the name of Jonathan M. Cowles wrote the following on the subject of Global Warming. “Global warming is a subject that has prompted spirited debates in the scientific community. Some believe that industrialization is heating up our atmosphere and fear that devastating consequences will soon befall our planet and it inhabitants. Others believe that man has little if any impact upon the temperature of the atmosphere and lacks the ability to change the climate in a significant way. The Bible speaks of global warming, but of a form and intensity far beyond that which is now being debated. The warming foretold by Peter will change more than just the climate – it will melt the very elements of which this planet is made. Our text says, “The heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up…the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.” This end time global warming is the final judgement of God!
I ask, dear reading friend, are you ready for this coming judgement day of Almighty God? Do you believe the gospel message of Christ who died for our sins? Have you repented of your sins before God? God is on our side…He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9 We need to make sure that we are on God’s side! If you already know the Lord Jesus as your personal savior, I rejoice with you! If not, flee the wrath to come for the refuge in Christ. Tomorrow may be too late!
