The Bible Column - The Lord is Concerned for You

“And he took him aside from the multitude..” Mark 7:33
This account tells of our blessed Lord at the seacoast of Galilee. One who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech was brought to the Lord for healing. There was a multitude who had gathered around the Lord Jesus. Now His thought and activity was centered on just one! Here the Bible tells of the miracle of healing upon this individual. “And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.” Mark 7:35 What a wonderful help from the Lord. What a wonderful change was brought in the life of this one.
Several lessons and truths are learned here. First, the Lord is interested in each of us on an individual basis. Even though a multitude was present, this one person was important to our Lord. Secondly, the Lord dealt with him “aside”. Apart from the others the Lord healed this one. Our wonderful Lord takes individuals like you and I aside to properly and privately help us in our need. Just the Lord and us in His Word and prayer or impressing His will and help in our lives. Just what we need for the hour or day – The Lord gives that portion to us! Then, others see the help of the Lord in our lives. Verse 36 of this passage says that “he charged them”. The context goes on to tell that the multitude knew of the healing of this one. Now, the private dealing and eternal help of the dear Lord becomes a public record. When the Lord changes a life others can see and know it.
I trust you love the Lord Jesus today. He is worthy because of His great love and help to us!
