“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great: and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3
The Scriptures above detail what is known as “The Abrahamic Covenant”. They tell of the establishment and place of the nation of Israel in the program and economy of Almighty God. The place of Israel is additionally described in Zechariah 2:8 as the “apple of God’s eye”, and in Deuteronomy 7:6-8 as “God’s chosen people,” and in Romans 3:1-4, as those people who have an “advantage” in, “Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God”. The word oracles refer to the “utterances of God”. God spoke directly to them!
The Scriptures in Genesis 12:1-3 above also tell of Israel’s place in world events, beginning at that time around 2126 BC, and continuing into the future Millennial Kingdom of Christ. They tell of the righteous jealousy of Almighty God in protecting His chosen seed! God is not casual about how the other families of the earth treat and deal with His people! In fact God declares His curse on those who curse Israel and His blessing on those who bless Israel! This is clearly no light matter with the God of heaven who rules in the kingdom of men. Daniel 4:17 This warning, means something only to those who are God fearing and who believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Others, who are deceived, believe that they can make their own rule. Psalm 2:1-12
Presently, in our nation, there is a recent and wicked anti-Semitic onslaught. In fact, it is happening in the ruling body…the legislative branch of our great land. In addition to other voices opposing God and many founding principles of our nation, this too is met with God’s displeasure and judgment! For the sake of a sovereign and free America, we as the people and our leaders must have the will and fortitude to set aside and stop those who knowingly or otherwise are seeking to authorize matters that are against God’s rule and freedom for our people! Presently, many of our leaders do not possess those characters! We need to pray earnestly for them!
I pray that God will keep America free until the Lord Jesus returns for His Bride. I pray for the blessing of the Lord in granting revival of hearts toward God and wisdom of the times, that we might be able to lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. I Timothy 2:1-4
